Limitation of Liability

Backroads Iceland acts as an agent and cannot be held responsible for any losses or damages resulting from accidents, injuries, illnesses, or changes in schedule due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, strikes, natural disasters, or actions of third-party companies or individuals. We act in good faith and are not liable for the actions, defaults, or delays of hotels, coach operators, airlines, guides, restaurants, or other parties. 

We reserve the right to change itineraries, routes, or departure times without notice if necessary, due to weather or other reasons. If there are changes to flights, passengers are responsible for any additional costs incurred. We advise all clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos and images, is the property of our website or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, modify, distribute, or display any content from our website without our prior written consent.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and will handle your personal information in accordance with Icelandic privacy laws. 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any dispute arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Iceland.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel, do talk to us and explain why.  We do have cancelation policy but it is mostly to make sure we are not losing money on your cancelation.  We are always wiling to talk about cancelation fees if something comes up with short notice.  Generally, our cancelations policy is as follows: 

Cancellation fee of 100% is charged if cancelled 1 day or less before the event

Cancellation fee of 50% is charged if cancelled 3 days or less before the event

Cancellation fee of 25% is charged if cancelled 7 days or less before the event

Of course you can always move your departure without a fee, as long as there is availability.
